The Goldsboro Junior Woman's Club focuses its fundraising efforts on two philanthropies: The Shoe Fund
First begun as a community improvement project, The Shoe Fund was established in 1960 by the Goldsboro Juniors as a response to community needs. Juniors have been able to provide thousands of children with a brand new pair of shoes so they may attend school. The Shoe Fund has operated solely on community donations through 2008.
The Car Seat Fund
The Car Seat Fund began as the Infant Car Seat Loaner program in 1982 and ran successfully through 2000. Due to safety issues, car seats could no longer be loaned to families. Therefore, The Car Seat Fund was established to ensure that needy families can safely transport their children. In partnership with local social workers, we now provide car seats to families in need.
